The bottom of Russia’s Lake Baikal has attracted the attention of another VIP tourist — Top Hollywood director James Cameron. He dived to the bottom on board the Russian ‘Mir’ submersible to celebrate his fifty sixth birthday. He follows in the footsteps of politicians and celebrities, including the Russian prime-minister and the President of Mongolia. And it was not his first time on board this particular vessel. Cameron used it back in 1997 while shooting the box office hit, Titanic. He said that underwater experience also inspired his recent blockbuster, «Avatar».
